Consultant-short term

I am seeking a contractor for a short-term position advising and supporting the implementation of an improved information management system for our San Francisco-based consulting and research organization (Great Place to Work Institute, Inc; www.greatplacetowork.com). If you have relevant experience, or know of anyone else who does, I would very much appreciate your passing this along! I am having a hard time finding the right resource here and would love any advice others have.

This project has two possible scopes that I would want to discuss with candidates to determine which was the best fit based on fees, availability, and skills.

First, the widest scope, would be to analyze the information management needs of our organization at a high-level, recommend a multi-phased project that would meet those needs, and oversee the implementation of the first phase of that project (which would need to include the narrower scope I indicate below).

Alternatively, the narrower scope, and the immediate pain point that we need to address this summer, is to understand our staff's needs regarding the files that we currently save to our server and sharepoint sites, catalogue and re-organize this information to increase our ability to find information when we need it, and create policies and procedures to maintain this information going forward.

I am looking for someone with previous experience making the disorganized, organized; the un-findable, findable, who can communicate exceptionally well with colleagues, and use good judgment to work independently. Students of information management or in related library science programs are also welcome to apply. We have approximately $6,000 budgeted for this work.

Interested parties can contact me directly at skulin@greatplacetowork.com.

Look forward to hearing from you!
