Incumbent will work collaboratively with the library staff, with campus organizations, and with faculty to create, develop, manage and maintain a repository of digital content. Develop the architecture, standards, policies, and procedures necessary to implement an institutional digital repository. Coordinate and guide campus digital repository initiatives, policies, and procedures. Create and manage controlled vocabularies and institutional taxonomies for the organization and retrieval of digitized content by internal and external users. Recommend policies and procedures necessary for creation and management of digital rights and copyright control.

Applicant must meet the following qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Basic Requirements: Applicants must possess one full academic year of graduate study in library science in an accredited college or university, in addition to completion of all work required for a bachelor’s degree, OR a total of at least five years of a combination of college-level education, training, and experience.
GS-09: Applicants must possess two full years of progressively higher graduate education or a master’s degree in library science or equivalent graduate degree related to the position OR applicant must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in Federal Service.
Specialized Experience: Providing library users with in-person reference services; developing web-based tools; utilizing digital repositories; AND utilizing digital content management applications in an academic or special library setting.
GS-11: Applicants must possess three full years of progressively higher graduate education in library science or a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) related to this position OR applicant must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in Federal Service.
Specialized Experience: Providing library users with in-person and online reference services; assisting in managing digital repositories; AND assist in configuring or customizing digital content management applications in a library setting.
GS-12: Applicant must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in Federal Service.
Specialized Experience: Developing, managing, and maintaining digital repositories; configuring/customizing digital content management applications; AND communicating digital repository requirements to information technology professionals and academic faculty.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
You will be rated based on your qualifications for this position as evidenced by experience, education and training you report relative to this position. Your rating will be based on both your responses to the Occupational Questionnaire and the information stated in your resume as it relates to the following knowledges, skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the position:
1. Knowledge of digital library and technology.
2. Knowledge of Integrated Library Systems (ILS) and digital library technology metadata and cataloging guidelines.
3. Ability to maintain intellectual property rights, acquire digital content, and develop digital collections.
