Incumbent is responsible for planning, evaluating, organizing, documenting and managing processes for capturing metadata, cataloging, and establishing authority control for print and electronic library resources and supervising personnel doing the same. Establish and document policies, provide the analysis, evaluation, innovation and direction of any changes impacting functional operation of tools and resources supporting cataloging, serials control, acquisition and authority control. Utilize analysis tools to generate reports on collection and expenditures, resource usage, web traffic, and other data to support external reporting for assessment, accreditation, and library metrics. Support the negotiation and licensing of academic electronic and print resources selected for acquisition by library collection development staff.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for this position, your resume must show sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.




Applicant must meet the following qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:



Basic Requirements: One full academic year of graduate study in library science in an accredited college or university, in addition to completion of all work required for a bachelor’s degree OR a total of at least five years of a combination of college-level education, training, and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in Federal Service.

Specialized Experience: Supervising library staff responsible for cataloging electronic and print resources, applying metadata standards, AND licensing electronic resources utilizing an electronic resource management system in an academic library or special library setting.

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the education requirements. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
