POSITION REQUIREMENTS
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides prompt and accurate regional library services to physicians and all hospital employees in support of their educational, clinical, administrative, and research-related information needs. Supervises the operation of the regional medical library including selection, procurement and processing of library materials and provision of reference, circulation and interlibrary loan services. Supervises all library staff and volunteers.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
MlLS degree
Medical Library Association Certification or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years experience in medical library services
Trained MedLine search analyst
Excellent communication, word processing and organizational skills
Ability to interact and provide services to all levels of personnel
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Medical Library Association Certification or equivalent experience.
